Partner Michael C. Daniel has extensive experience in both the private and public sectors of governmental representation. Mr. Daniel has represented numerous public and private clients who have faced issues arising out of government related matters. This experience includes representation in administrative actions, actions concerning sanctions, forfeiture proceedings, and defense of professional licenses. Mr. Daniel’s representation offered concerning governmental matters includes but is not limited to the following:
Having served as an Assistant United States Attorney for Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush and as the Senior Judge Advocate for the Georgia Air National Guard, Mr. Daniel has a unique understanding of the processes and strategies that the Government uses in pursuing administrative actions. Even though he chose to leave government practice and make himself available to represent individuals, he regularly interacts with personnel from the United States Department of Justice and the Office of the Attorney General of Georgia. As a product of his experience and relationships, Mr. Daniel is a leader in the area of representing businesses in defense of administrative forfeiture actions.

Mr. Daniel has extensive experience in representing government officials in matters where a conflict of interest exists with the governmental entity’s assigned counsel. Mr. Daniel has successfully represented Mayors and County Commissioners in electoral recall actions. He has also represented Sheriffs and County Commissioners in conflicts with other governing bodies.

Mr. Daniel has also represented clients in matters relating to zoning and compliance with local and State ordinances,. His experience includes representation on compliance issues with building, environmental, and labor standards.
