Another client wrongfully accused of DUI was acquitted by an Athens jury following a trial the week of January 14, 2013. At PDW we are starting the new year off exactly the way we concluded 2012…with more big wins for our clients! This very nice lady was stopped for making a right turn on red and the ACCPD officer assumed she was DUI based upon the smell of alcohol on her breath. At trial, PDW partner Mo Wiltshire was able to show numerous flaws in the investigation and resulting arrest. After a two day trial the Athens Jury returned the correct verdict of Not Guilty on the DUI. Great news for our client and a great way to start the new year with another winning effort at jury trial.
